This post is going to serve as a note-taking journal & sharing opportunity for anyone who is interested in what I’m learning about blogging, WordPress, podcasting, etc. It is NOT going to have anything to do with agile, product management, or lean startup 🙂 though all of my other content will.
I used a free trial from Temi to transcribe my interview with Bob Galen. It was super quick and easy – but had a decent amount of errors. It took me about 2 hours to clean up the transcript for a ~36 minute episode. After the free trial, the cost is 10 cents per minute of audio.
I’m currently using SimplePodcastPress as my Podcast Player on all show posts. The license for 1 site is $67 and I’m really happy with how easy it was to set up. I love how it lets you time-stamp specific points in an episode to let listeners jump to what they’re most interested in.
In addition to the podcast, one of my other passions is leather working. I sell belts, wallets, bags, etc. on jackbarba.com and need to track material purchases as well as invoices. I recently started using FreshBooks‘ $6 Lite plan and it covers everything I need.
